Work In Progress

Inspired by the bicycle journey my wife and I completed in 2015, my current WIP stretches from the mountains of western Montana to the banks of the Arno River in Tuscany. The seat of a bicycle is a wonderful place to gain inspiration and allow your mind to wander. It was on my bike, during a lengthy climb in the mountains of northern Spain, where I first thought of the idea for the novel I’m now hard at work writing. I spent the following year cultivating that initial seed of an idea until it had sprouted into the story I can’t wait to tell.

Finding himself suddenly unemployed, Edward Vaughan realizes the time has never been better to embark on his wife’s dream adventure: a bicycle trip around the world. Long miles and saddle sores quickly prove to be the least of their worries as the couple uncovers a startling truth about their love—and the centuries it spans. Set against the moving backdrop of a cycling odyssey, Edward and Kara are forced to confront the trials of love and loss as remnants of a shared past and the temptations of modern living aim to drive them apart forever.
